My Writerly Friends
Karen E. Taylor
Karen and I have known each other for a long time. A long time. We have matching certificates stating that we earned honorable mentions in The Atlantic Monthly's Creative Writing Contest for Students. That was in 1975. Initially we were NOT friends, not by a long shot, but that changed and we became inseparable. Then we separated and didn't see each other for years, then we did, then we didn't, etc. Now we live about 40 minutes from each other, see each other seldom, but stay in touch through Facebook.
Read Karen's tales of the supernatural!
Kip's Amazon page
I can see an hourglass from where I sit as I write this; that's because of Kip. He also gave me a new appreciation of kilts and naturalist life style. I was one of his beta readers for book 1 of The Guild Memoirs and I wish he'd get moving and finish book 2.
Emmie also writes under another pen name, Eva Jamieson, but my interest lies with her less "flirty, dirty" fantasies. We've known each other for a few years. Again, I'm waiting for book 2.
Another person I've known for a few years. I like to hang out with Monica: she has a unique way of looking at the world, full of joy. She and I have set the goal of getting something - anything - published this year.
Molli is a prolific writer, seldom seen without an assortment of post-its and colored pens. She has chosen to go a different route and started her own editing business. This is where I'll be sending my works before publishing/submitting.
